PASSERBY A young Japanese woman arrives to spend a day and night in Helsinki, and goes round by tram photographing Alvar Aalto’s buildings. Her places of pilgrimage are Finlandia Hall, Stora Enso’s Head Office, Aalto’s own home and his studio. This laconically constructed work takes us on a hypnotic journey into the main character’s inner world, and to Aalto’s buildings. |
ROUND The same story is played both by a man and a woman actor. Videos are show side by side simultaneously. The story of a two sequence is a loop. The main character drinks alone at the bar. Suddenly the music stops. Time stops. A ray of light shifts slowly through the room. The main character walks out to the street. Finally he / she enters back to the bar. |

LA VILLETTE La Villette was shot in the La Cité science museum in Paris. In the video we see, reflected on water, an image of the bridge that connects the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie building, designed by Adrian Fainsilber, and the adjacent La Géode film theatre. The framing turns the space between the two buildings into a stage, with a parallel world The video preview coming soon. |
WASTELAND Wasteland is shot in the area of Lake George, in New South Wales in Australia. |

THE MOUNTAIN The fog slowly covers the mountain. There is a sound of wind blowing. Suddenly from behind of the space is heard the sound of loudly speaking people. Then the guide shouts to the megaphone. There is no one in the video image. Eventually the sound of the crowd fades out to the wind. Video is shot in Yellow Mountain in China. |

PRELUDE The video image of the stairs in outdoors is projected to the starcase in the gallery space. The gallery stairs seem to continue out of the building. Suddenly the bubbles appear in the front of the image. The wind carries bubles up to the top of the stairs where they form a twirl. The dreamlike impression has been produced by playing the video backwards. The music in the soundtrack is simple and quiet, but melancholic. |

RANGE There is a large view of a landscape. The image of a meadow changes to the almost similar meadow by long crossdissolve. For a moment two images constitute a third landscape. What has been seen and understood alters. In the soundtrack the wind whispers gently. The wind is cut by a hit of a piano chord. The landscape turns to another. The wind whispers. Unexpectedly another exactly similar hit by piano is played. Lancsape after another follows. |
